ABOUT THIS PERFORMANCE

Touch the sublime with a little help from the fingers of pianist Jon Kimura Parker, “an insightful energetic soloist” (The New York Times), as he joins the Utah Symphony to bring you the irresistible melody and variations of Rachmaninoff’s beloved Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. Conductor Mark Wigglesworth makes a welcome return to conduct Elgar’s generous and genuine Symphony No. 1, which the composer described as representing “great charity and a massive hope in the future.”
